FFA
About
The Salem Agriculture Program and FFA offer a variety of agricultural classes and activities. To be in FFA, students must first be enrolled in an agriculture class.
FFA is a student-led organization that holds monthly meetings with both business sessions and fun activities. Past activities have included Ag Olympics, pumpkin carving, and cookie decorating. FFA also offers a variety of competition opportunities in all areas of agriculture, such as Agricultural Sales, Livestock Evaluation, Public Speaking, and Horse Judging just to name a few.
The chapter completes a community service project each semester and attends leadership conferences and conventions. FFA and agriculture classes are open to all students, regardless of farming background or knowledge. There is something for everyone in our organization!
The mission of FFA is to help students develop their potential for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. While we all come from different backgrounds, we share a common passion for agriculture that brings us all together.
