Cooperative Occupational Education is designed for senior students interested in pursuing various careers.
Students are released from school two class hours per school day for their paid/unpaid cooperative education work experience and participate in five class hours per week of related classroom instruction.
Classroom instruction focuses on providing students with job survival skills, career exploration skills related to the job, and improving students’ abilities to interact positively with others.
Written training agreements and individual student training plans are developed and agreed upon by the employer, student and coordinator.
The coordinator, student and employer assume compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
The students in this class come together to make the Salem Community High School website.
It is their job to make the website as readable and organized as possible. Many pages on the SCHS website are updated daily. Each page is created and edited by a select student to insure that everything is up to date and uniform.
Math Team is composed of students that take pride in understanding Math, and some even down to their roots. They actively go out to competitions to win.
