A two part educational project designed to help young people learn about the satisfaction of volunteering and to build a lifetime commitment to community service.  Down The Street And Around The World demonstrates the impact that volunteering has on individuals and communities. Each of five segments focuses on a different type of volunteer activity undertaken by Lions Club members. One volunteer project could be an eyeglass collection campaign.

In New Glasses, New Life, students see the impact of fading eyesight on a weaver in a small rural town in Mexico, and how eyeglasses collected by Lions Clubs International helps him regain his eyesight so he can continue to work and support his family.
